Since Sept. 23rd, 2025, four individuals (M. Lohninger, D. Özyildiz, B. Gehrke, P. Charvatová) have made a fraudulent attempt at hijacking the EGG. The identity theft that they have committed is still ongoing (writing on Nov. 20th, 2025): they first pretended to be the EGG, then changed their tactics, now calling themselves “OVA” and claiming they are the “successor” of the EGG.

The four individuals have
- deceived the community, the Van Riemsdijk Foundation and the EGG board
- overthrown democratic votes: their view of democracy is “we accept democratic votes if they are in our favour, otherwise we make a putsch that overthrows democratic institutions”
- made a putsch at the EGG, self-appointing themselves as the EGG board
- usurped the identity of the EGG (legal qualification: identity theft of a legal entity)
- under the usurped identity, tried to gain money from the Van Riemsdijk Foundation
- under the usurped identity, run the EGG social media (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), where they block adverse posts.
- stolen the EGG website (by cancelling access codes of legal board members)
- continued to engage in identity theft and in the deception of the community since they call themselves OVA: they pretend that OVA is “the successor” of the EGG (thereby saying that the EGG does not exist any more) and claim that OVA had “previous schools” listed on their website, which in fact are the EGG schools.
The four individuals named above have acted in bad faith and been disingenuous in their exchanges with the community. They are impostors who hold democracy in contempt. The professional misconduct inherent in their actions is not up to the standards of the larger academic community, and disqualifies them from any kind of leadership position.
